Queynte Laydies are writing & producing duo, Máirín O'Hagan & Sarah Anson

Together, we tell historical stories for a contemporary world. Our accessible and entertaining theatre has toured the UK, US and Europe, combining historical research with inventive playfulness. We also write and produce award-winning comedy and horror shorts.
As well as working as a translator and dramaturg, Máirín runs film company Barefaced Greek, which makes shorts from ancient Greek drama in the original language. Inspired by mythology, she was commissioned to write Dancing Bear and the Hunter in the Stars for The Dream Factory Theatre in Warwick.
For TV, she developed a crime thriller series based on Lin Anderson's Rhona McLeod books with production company, The Forge.
She also recently completed her first novel.
Sarah's TV writing credits include The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Amazon Prime, season 3) and Father Brown (BBC One, season 11). She has had original scripts in development with Sky Drama, Euston Films, Leopard Pictures and 10:40 PM Productions, among others.
In line with her long-standing fascination for the supernatural, she co-created Ghost on Toast, a podcast exploring real-life ghost stories.
She is currently working on her first feature film.
